Kokiri Sword
The Kokiri Sword is the very first sword that Link starts out with on his journey. It is weak, but it is the only sword usable
when Link is a child.
Kokiri Shield
The first shield Link acquires in the game. Is first bought at the Kokiri Store and is made of wood. Due to being made of
wood, the Kokiri Shield is not resistant to fire attacks and will burn to ash upon contact to flames. The Kokiri Shield can
also deflect deku nuts and other items spat at you. Use this technique to defeat some enemies.
Hylian Shield
The Hylian shield can be used by child Link, but is too heavy to lift on one arm. Therefore, Link must keep it on his back
and bend over to protect himself. I would suggest to use this shield only in areas with fire enemies (fire keeses, dodongos,
etc.). It is very useful for climbing the path to the top of Death Mountain as it can protect from the boulders that come
hurling down at you.
Adult Link
Master Sword
The legendary Master Sword is the sword found by child link and as he pulls it out of the Pedestal of Time, he is held inside
the Sacred Realm for 7 years 'til he is old enough to become the Hero of Time. The Master Sword is twice as powerful as the
Kokiri Sword and can only be used by Adult Link. It is needed to deliver the final blow on Ganon at the end of the game.
Biggoron's Sword
The Biggoron's Sword is the most powerful sword located in The Ocarina of Time. It is about twice as long as the master sword,
but because it is so heavy, Link needs both hands to use it. This means he cannot use this sword and his shield at the same
time. He will have to put away his sword, then he can use his shield, just not both at once like the Master Sword. If you
are a deffensive player, play with the Master Sword, offensive, this is the sword for you!
Hylian Shield
When you're an adult, you can use the Hylian Shield normally because you are strong enough to lift it with one arm, and swing
your sword with the other. Bought at Bazaars for 80 rupees.
Mirror Shield
The Mirror Shield is found in the Spirit Temple and deflects magic. No, don't be disappointed, it doesn't deflect everything.
It only deflects magic at certain points in the game. I think this disappointed all of us. Anyways, it's no better than
the Hylian Shield other than it is needed to beat Twinrova, the boss of the Spirit Temple.
Tunics
Green - This is the tunic that Link begins with at the start of his journey. It has no powers except that of keeping Link
warm. Blue - This tunic allows Link to breathe underwater. This tunic is not needed to beat the Water Temple but
is very useful. Red - Probabaly the most popular tunic. It allows Link to venture into boiling hot temperatures
for unlimited time. Normally he can only stand the heat for so long. It also stops fire attacks from continuously injuring
Link.
